The Texas Department of Transportation will close portions of Interstate 10 and Schuster Avenue on Dec. 15 and 16 as part of the ongoing construction of the Schuster Exit Ramp near The University of Texas at El Paso.
The eastbound Schuster entrance ramp onto I-10 will be closed from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Thursday, Dec. 15. Traffic exiting on the eastbound Schuster exit ramp to enter UTEP will not be affected.
On Dec. 16, the left lane of I-10 east between the Schuster exit and the Yandell overpass, as well as the left lane of I-10 west between the Porfirio Diaz exit and the Schuster exit, will be closed from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
The closures will allow crews to pour concrete curb and construct a center barrier on I-10.
