Students still have an opportunity to register for summer and fall classes at UTEP.
According to Craig Westman, Ph.D., associate vice president for student solutions and outcomes integration at UTEP, this summer students can get ahead in their degree plans and graduate earlier, while also enjoying smaller class sizes. He added that registering early for fall courses gives students a wider selection of class offerings before the courses fill up.
Classes for Summer Session I and eight-week classes will begin June 10, while Summer Session II courses will begin July 8. Late registration will end on the first day of each summer session. Students may be able to take advantage of financial aid resources to help with tuition for summer classes by contacting the UTEP Financial Aid office at 915-747-5204 or academics.utep.edu/finaid.
Registration for the fall 2013 semester remains open with late registration ending Aug. 29. Classes begin Aug. 26. Students can search for available classes and register for both summer sessions and the fall semester by logging into Goldmine via the my.utep.edu portal.
Prospective students entering as first-time freshman are encouraged to apply for admission to UTEP before Aug. 1 and are required to sign up for New Student Orientation before starting classes by visiting academics.utep.edu/newstudentorientation.
Although UTEP’s tuition is the most affordable of the eight emerging Tier One institutions in Texas, financial assistance helps makes college accessible for many of UTEP’s students. The first step in determining what financial aid resources may be available is for students to complete a 2013-14 FAFSA application. Scholarship opportunities and convenient payment options also are available.
